Do You Have Your Own Boat?
Like all “great ponds,” the official designation of lakes in New Hampshire, Newfound Lake offers public access for fishing and boating year round. Grey Rocks Conservation Area, at the north end of the late, offers a launch-site for non-motorized boats. A state-owned launch site for both power and non-motorized vessels is located at Wellington State Park on the western shore.
Newfound Kayak Club – Connect with fellow kayakers who paddle this lake. Membership is free. “We are an active, friendly club of kayakers of all ages and abilities. Our mission is to have fun paddling on Newfound Lake, its estuaries and its lazy rivers…”
Newfound Lake Sailing Club– Join the newly formed NLSC (Newfound Lake Sailing Club) every Sunday for mixed fleet racing on the northern end of Newfound Lake. No experience is required. We are looking for boats on the start line. The races will be a fun learning experience so that Newfound can participate in off lake regattas and even host our own regattas! There are also opportunities to crew and to have an experienced racer onboard. All boats or interested sailors are welcome. Although NLSC is an all volunteer organization some operating expenses are expected so a nominal fee will be collected at the end of the season.
