Lace up your snowshoes and get a different perspective of Newfound Lake. Enjoy a peaceful walk in the wild and scenic Grey Rocks Conservation Area (shown right) on N. Shore Road in Hebron. Grey Rocks features a 1.5-mile trail system through beautiful conservation land with bridges and observation platforms.

 

 


Fine Dining at the Homestead Restaurant

Enjoy a delicious dinner at the Homestead Restaurant, located on 1567 Summer Street (Route 104) in Bristol. The decor is warm and cozy, with wide pine floors and original, wood-buring fireplaces dating to the late 1700s — it’s like taking a step back in time.

The Homestead has three dining rooms and opens at 4:30 pm for dinner Monday through Saturday, with specials Tuesday-Friday. Sunday dinner is available starting at noon. Henry Whipple House WINTER 2One of Newfound’s best places to stay is The Henry Whipple House located on 75 Summer Street in Bristol Center. Constructed in 1904, this grand old home provides a combination of charm, comfort, and history. In 2005, it was the first New Hampshire Bed & Breakfast listed on the NH State Register of Historic Places. Its Victorian era charm can be seen in the architecture, oak woodwork, chandeliers, and stained glass windows. You’ll find elegant style, luxury linens, antiques, art and several bronze-engraved fireplaces.

The main house has five private rooms, and the carriage house has three suites — all with private baths. There is free WIFI, internet access, cable TV, and A/C. A guest kitchen is also available.
