Coppertoppe is a bed and breakfast and retreat center on Tenney Hill overlooking Newfound Lake in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Newfound is one of the cleanest lakes in the world, the deepest lake and fourth largest lake in New Hampshire. Pure, clean water, amazing views, state parks, waterfalls, hiking trails and the joys of Nature’s Playground make visiting Coppertoppe a time away from the crush of modern life.
Tucked in the foothills of the White Mountains and on the northern shores of pristine Newfound Lake is Meadow Wind Bed and Breakfast. The rustic B&B is ideally located in the Town of Hebron, NH, a quintessential New England village with historic homes and town buildings surrounding a gorgeous common. The entire village district is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This classic connected farm has been restored by your host, Pete Carey, only the fifth Meadow Wind owner since Captain Enos Ferrin first built the house and barns in 1820. Historic colors, vintage wall coverings, plaster and beadboard walls, wood beamed and tin ceilings, and period furniture combine to provide the flavor of yesteryear and comfort of a simpler time. Two massive barns today look much as they did 50 years ago when they last housed livestock, farm equipment, and harvest and feed stores.
Coffee and tea are always brewing in the country kitchen, where a sumptuous, healthy buffet breakfast is served each morning. Share breakfast with other guests in the dining room, or start your day at your own pace on one of the farm’s three porches, including the spacious veranda overlooking the main garden, field, and mountains beyond.
Whether you come to take in nature’s sights and sounds, swim or boat on Newfound Lake’s crystal clear waters, hike or ski the White Mountains, or hunt for antiques at area shops and auctions, Meadow Wind offers beautiful, elegantly simple, relaxing accommodations in the middle of it all.
Come visit us at Sculptured Rocks Farm in Groton, New Hampshire. Hosts Michael and Dawn Lemieux offer a comfortable stay and breakfast in an out of the way relaxing destination. The perfect getaway for people who don’t want to be in the hub bub of a touristy resort. You can’t see a street light or another house light in the evening as you sit on the front stoop. Head down to Sculptured Rocks for a dip in the crystal clear water. Stroll through the woods on old logging trails and you may never run into another human being… but you may just see some interesting wildlife. A few minutes away is gorgeous Newfound Lake and Spectacle Pond for fishing, boating and swimming. You can cross-country ski off the back porch. Ski at nearby Ragged Mountain or just a little farther away are Loon, Waterville Valley, Cannon and Bretton Woods. Or just come to sit in a comfortable chair on the spacious porch and listen to the river run by.
