Explore the Beauty of Newfound Audubon Center’s Walking and Water Trails

Educational displays and beautiful walking trails abound at the Newfound Audubon Center on 290 North Shore Road in Hebron. One example is pristine Paradise Point, one of Newfound hidden gems. For boaters, the Northern Newfound Water Trail is now open!  A map with information for this self-guided tour is available at Paradise Point and NLRA’s Grey Rocks conservation area (non-motorized, carry-in boats only), and online (click here). Kayaks are available for rent at the Paradise Point Nature Center.

Experience the Rustic Comfort of Meadow Wind B&B

Meadow Wind B&B, on 41 North Shore Road in Hebron, has been lovingly restored by host Pete Carey, the fifth owner since the house was built in 1828. Historic colors, vintage wall coverings, plaster and bead board walls, wood-beamed and tin ceilings, and period furniture combine to provide the flavor of yesteryear and comfort of a simpler time. Coffee and tea are always brewing in the country kitchen, where a sumptuous, healthy buffet breakfast is served each morning. Enjoy the sights and sounds of nature on one of the farm’s three porches, hike in the nearby mountains, swim or boat at Newfound Lake, or hunt for antiques at area shops. Meadow Wind offers beautiful, elegantly simple, relaxing accommodations in the middle of it all. Call (603) 236-1494 to reserve your room.
