NEWFOUND’S CHANGING WATER QUALITY

Our long term water quality data identifies declining water quality in several areas around the lake.  Implementation of our Watershed Management Plan has helped to slow some of these trends, but the fact remains that Newfound’s water quality is threatened.

STOPPING THE TREND

NLRA’s watershed-wide planning emphasizes stormwater management projects and the protection of forests that act as a natural water filter for Newfound’s water. These efforts strengthen Newfound’s resilience to major threats.
