Dear Newfounder,
Our neighbors throughout the Newfound Watershed are still recovering from the devastation of Monday’s rain. Drivers navigate washed out roads, and piles of debris left by flooding mar the landscape. Streams and rivers swelled with polluted stormwater, which ran into Newfound Lake and visibly damaged water quality.
Monday’s storm was a grim reminder that the challenges that face Newfound Lake affect our entire community. I know you care deeply about Newfound, and that’s why I’m asking for your help now.
NLRA’s conservation work protects the Newfound Watershed from stormwater pollution, harmful cyanobacteria blooms, and invasive species. We’re fundraising now to increase our efforts in 2024.
If you have yet to give this season, can you donate now?
Your tax-deductible donation stops stormwater pollution, holds cyanobacteria and invasive species at bay, and unites the Newfound community behind our conservation efforts with educational programs for all ages.
Please join me in safeguarding the Newfound we know and love.
I’m proud to be a part of a community dedicated to caring for its land and water. Thank you for your generosity and commitment to a cleaner, clearer future for Newfound.
Sincerely,
Rebecca Hanson
