Dear Newfounders,

It’s been an amazing few weeks since my last update about the Grey Rocks Conservation Center. This project has seen incredible progress on every front. Here is the latest exciting news:

Fundraising Success!
We have reached our initial fundraising goal for the Grey Rocks Conservation Center. We are incredibly grateful to the Newfound community for standing with us and choosing to invest in the future of the Newfound Watershed.

We continue to receive and welcome donations. Funds raised above our initial goal will allow us to better outfit the conservation center – from lab equipment to exhibits and technology resources – as well as allow for a flexible response to opportunities that arise during the building process.

Construction is Underway!
Construction has begun! We plan to welcome the public to the center in the spring of 2025. Please note that Grey Rocks is currently closed to visitors to ensure site safety. Updates to openings and closings can be found at NewfoundLake.org/greyrocks.

NH Businesses Can Get a Tax Credit
Part of NLRA’s fundraising success includes a tax credit award through the NH Community Development Finance Authority. By participating in the Tax Credit program, businesses can invest their dollars directly into the Newfound community and get a tax credit in return. If you know a New Hampshire business that would like to participate, please reach out to me.

We are incredibly grateful for your support during this exciting time. You can review materials about this project and read my past updates at NewfoundLake.org/building-for-the-future.

Onward!
