The Newfound Lake Region Association (NLRA) is kicking off the summer with a volunteer cookout. Current and prospective volunteers are invited to Grey Rocks Conservation Area at 178 N Shore Rd, Hebron, NH on June 10th from 3:30 – 5:50 pm, to connect with NLRA, learn about this summer’s volunteer opportunities, and chat with others invested in the Newfound Watershed. This will also be a chance for the community to meet new NLRA staff. A short welcome program will start at 4:15, leaving plenty of time for good conversation. Attendees are asked to register at NewfoundLake.org/events.

Volunteer programs at NLRA include trail maintenance, aquatic invasive species management, water quality monitoring, and more. NLRA also hosts educational programs, guided explorations of the watershed, EcoTours on Newfound Lake, and other opportunities to interact with and learn about the Newfound environment. By connecting the people of Newfound to the wonders around them, NLRA works to inspire the next generation of stewards and fulfill its mission of protecting Newfound Lake and its watershed.
